Steven Young lighting shown on a Billboard in Macau

Miss Saigon, again.

Posted on Posted in Being Human, Bragging rights, cool pics, you've got to be kidding me

Is this not the wildest thing you’ve ever seen?  Right now, I’m sitting in a hotel room in Macau, working on some lighting paperwork for McCoy-Rigby’s production of Miss Saigon, that is loading into the Grand Auditorium, just a few hundred feet away. I dropped by earlier this morning and caught sight of the pink cadillac on a flat bed truck, pulling into the theatre’s loading dock.

Seems like only a couple months ago that I was designing this show, and thinking that it was some of the worst work that I’d ever done.  I suppose this is my chance to redeem myself.  I better get cracking!

I took this photo with my iPhone from the streets of Macau yesterday afternoon…  it’s a billboard for the show that is along an entire city block. I think the show is going to be a big deal here!
